CFL Learner of the Year Award! 💚

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our amazing equipped2succeed learners, who was awarded the CFL Learner of the Year Award last week! 🎉👏

This award is a fantastic recognition of their journey, hard work and determination.

From the progress they have made throughout their time with SCLA, to the commitment they have shown towards creating a positive future for themselves, they truly deserve this award.

At SCLA, we believe everyone deserves a second chance to succeed and thrive, and moments like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. 💚

A HUGE congratulations from everyone at Second Chance Learning Academy - we couldn't be prouder! 🌟

Reflecting on a fantastic CFL Conference! 💚

A couple of weeks ago, the SCLA team had the pleasure of attending Nottingham City Council’s annual Community and Family Learning (CFL) Conference.

It was a brilliant opportunity to connect with organisations and partners from across Nottingham and share ideas and experiences.

Community learning is about building confidence, improving wellbeing, developing new skills, finding employment and helping people feel more connected. 💚

We came away feeling inspired and full of new ideas to bring into our work at SCLA.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the conference and to all those who shared their knowledge and experiences throughout the day. We’re looking forward to continuing to work together to create opportunities for people across Nottingham to succeed and thrive! 🙌

It was wonderful to chat with Councillor Sulcan Mahmood on Monday about how we can collectively work together to give young people in Nottingham a second chance.

We’re looking forward to working alongside partners across the city and most importantly, helping young people achieve what they’re capable of. 💚
