St Anns Advice Centre

St Anns Advice Centre St Anns Advice Centre is an organisation that is set up to help it's surrounding community giving advice on debt, welfare benefits, employment & housing.

St Anns Advice Centre/The Neighbourhood Centre, where we are based, was hand built by volunteers to provide a place for the local community. A place where the public could receive advice and take part in activities. We started as a small organisation made up of a few volunteers and sucessfully secured some funding to provide help to the local community. Since then we have had many funders and the organisation has grown.

Are you a carer?

You can get help and support if you're responsible for looking after someone who has a disability, is getting old or has become ill.

It's , a week to highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the amazing contributions they make! Also to help those with caring responsibilities identify as carers and access the support that's available to them.

We're developing a new Landlord Strategy that's our plan for how we'll manage council housing over the coming years.

We want to know what you think of it, as it outlines how your housing services will be delivered.

Click on the link below to read a summary of the strategy, to download a draft version of the full strategy and to give your views by completing a short online form.

As a thank you, we'll put every Nottingham City Council Housing Services resident who gives us their views, and opts in, into a draw to win a Β£100 shopping voucher.

You have until Friday 31 July to tell us what you think. Thank you.

Dementia isn’t one-size-fits-all and neither are its symptoms.

Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies are among the most common types – and each affects the brain in different ways.

From memory loss and confusion to changes in behaviour, language or movement, the symptoms can vary widely depending on the type of dementia.

This guide highlights some of the common symptoms linked to each illness, but it’s also important to remember that no two people experience dementia in the same way.

By recognising the different signs, including these lesser-known symptoms, we can spot changes earlier and help more people access an early diagnosis.
