Now the dust has settled I'd like to thank the visitors from the Reading, Oxford, Lincoln and Dudley Provinces for attending the "MAW" Trent Valley Lodge yesterday to support us as we held our May Day Mirth and Merriment Meeting.
With business kept to a minimum the fun and laughter soon followed with all present joining in the good natured banter.
Bro Adrian Moles, DGP, occupied the Royal Chair and did his best to keep some order in the proceedings....not sure if he managed to do that but he did manage to help keep the d's flowing into Lodge funds.
During the evening the Lodge presented a donation to Bro Murray Cable, the Oxford PGP for his appeal and we also supported Bro Andrew Parrot, the Lincoln PGP in his fundraising efforts for the year.
Once the Lodge had finished we retired to the bar where the hot dogs provided by our catering staff were soon devoured and a chance to socialise with the visitors made it a great way to round the evening off. The raffle that was held helped to raise monies for our Lodge Charity Fund.
Being the thoughtful Lodge that we are we made sure that the visitors were not weighed down by spare d's on their way home.
The evening continued the great start that we have had to 2026 which is our Golden Anniversary year.
All in all another fantastic night of fundraising, fun and friendship. We'll do it all again in the near future when we will celebrate our 2500th meeting, details will be confirmed over the few weeks. 🙂
