Behind every great cadet is an even greater team of adults who believe in them.
The cadet forces simply wouldn't exist without our Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs).

Our volunteers constantly invest their own time into training and qualifications—whether that is completing core modules, specialist instruction or fulfilling duty assignments —so our cadets get the safest and best experience possible.

A massive well done and thank you to all our adult volunteers who attended and completed training this past weekend.

Want to get involved? You don’t need a military background—just a desire to help young people Be More, Do More, and Achieve More.

We are absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured to share that our very own LCpl Efremov had the immense privilege of standing alongside the Lord Mayor of Nottingham to officially open the historic Nottingham Goose Fair 2026!

The Nottingham Goose Fair is one of Europe's largest travelling funfairs, boasting a grand tradition that dates all the way back to 1284. Being chosen to assist the Lord Mayor during the official opening ceremony at the Forest Recreation Ground is the prestigious civic duty a cadet can be proud of.

Well done LCpl Efremov for representing the Nottingham Sea and Royal Marines Cadets (T.S. Orion) with such flawless distinction and pride on the city's biggest stage!

What an incredible weekend! ⚓️
Our Royal Marines Cadets had an absolute blast at the Royal Marines Family Weekend at Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) Lympstone!
It was an unforgettable experience filled with so much fun, teamwork, and excitement. A huge thank you to everyone who made it possible, and to the Royal Marines for giving our cadets hands-on experience with so much amazing equipment and training activities!

Last night we say goodbye to one of our cadets as he moves on to new adventures.

MC Minns has been with us for over two years starting as a blue jacket, enjoying his waterborne activities and eventually moving to RMC. His enthusiasm for water never left him and his passion to kayaking has found a new home.
He just came back from Scotland from kayaking development camp and competition for the U23 European championships. We are proud of his achievements and have no doubt he will continue to succeed.

We wish him all the very best for the future and look forward to hearing about his future success.

History made on Salisbury Plain! Our unstoppable Royal Marines Cadets and staff have officially conquered Summer Camp 2026 at Knook Camp, marking a historic 50th Anniversary for X-Ray Company! For five decades, X-Ray Company has forged leaders, and this week, our cadets proved that the legendary commando spirit is stronger than ever. They pushed past every limit, mastered elite fieldcraft across the plains, and honored 50 years of excellence with pure grit and determination.

Well done to Cpl Schofield and LCpl Walster for completing the R***e troops, MC Warman for completing the Foundation Cadre and to PSgt Whitton for completing his 0-2-Hero training.
T.S. Orion is super proud of you all ⭐

The National Cadet Smallbore R***e Meeting (NC SBRM) 2026 came to the end. It was the first ever major tri-Service competition of Smallbore for Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), Volunteer Cadet Corps (VCC), Army Cadet Force (ACF), and RAF Air Cadets (ATC) units across the UK.

The extreme heatwave did not make it easy however our cadets have shown their resilience and determination in pioneering this event. There will be more to come in a future and I'm glad Nottingham Sea Cadets had the chance to be involved in creating the history.

I am absolutely proud of our three cadets and their achievements:

LCpl Walster has been presented with 🏆 RMRA Trophy (top-performing Royal Marine cadet), 🥇 Gold Medal for Grand Aggregate Top RM Individual and the🥉Bronze Medal for Top Open Unit Individual. He has also received the🥈Silver Medal together with his Team in Sharpshooters Match Top Inter Service

AC Teiserskaite 🥈and Cpl Schofield 🥈, both have received their Silver Medals, together with their Team, for Top SCC & RM Team.

Absolutely amazing achievement! ⭐️

Well done T.S. Orion!
