Last night saw the unit conduct its monthly Commanding Officers Divisional Inspections and along with this, there was also presentations made for cadet progression.
After a successful weekend away in Leicester, Lance CorporalsSchofield & Walster achieved their basic air-rifle badges.
We also saw Recruit Warman promoted to Royal Marine Cadet, after completion of his initial training package.

Congratulations to you all.

Well done to our amazing cadets and staff members! ☺️
From the early morning setup to the final cleanup, their hard work did not go unnoticed. They were working hard on registering the runners, handing out water bottles and snacks, screaming encouragement at the finish line and issuing well earned medals.
Brilliant performance! Well done!!!

The Sea Cadets, Army Cadets UK, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, and Cadets In Schools help to give young people a real advantage in education and work.

A 2021 study by the University of Northampton found that Cadets develop key communication, teamwork and leadership skills and become more confident and resilient, setting them up for future success.

And under a new ‘30 by 30’ campaign launched last year, the Government has ambitious plans to expand Cadet opportunities for a new generation of young people.

Today we have paid our respects to the World War One hero, the Royal Marine, the recipient of the Victoria Cross - Lance Corporal Walter Richard Parker.

Walter Parker Day is an annual remembrance event in Stapleford, held on the Sunday nearest 30th April to honour the date of Parker's VC-earning action at Gallipoli, 30/04/1915.

LCpl Parker has shown extreme courage and dedication and it should not be forgotten.

Thank you for the amazing organisation of the event to Stapleford Combined Services

Big well done for our Royal Marines Cadets who have attended and had a fantastic time at X-Ray Company's Royal Marines Cadets Easter Camp 2026 against the threats of Storm Dave.

All four cadets have shown great courage, dedication and commitment towards their training and we are proud of them all. They have learned foundation skills of Fieldcraft and Tactics which they will continue to develop further within their career of RMC training. Big well done again!

Special congratulations to LCpl Schofield who has shown great commitment to his pre-drill training and has been approved for national Drill Leader's Training this year ⭐️ 👏🏻

⚠️Cadets are taught weapon-handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that emphasises safe and responsible use. All cadets handling rifles are under the supervision of qualified adults. All shooting is done in a safe, supervised and controlled environment. All cadets must pass a weapon handling test (WHT) to prove they are safe and competent before they are allowed to handle the weapon ⚠️

Huge congratulations to our newly promoted LCpl Walster who has at last completed his Initial Weapon Training and therefore has been officially promoted to his earned rank of Lance Corporal. It was a long waiting promotion after November Advancement Board but as always perseverance, determination and commitment has paid of. We are hugely proud of this young man.

Started as early as 6:45 am and bravely worked through thousands of bags! Helping runners retrieve their bags on the end of the race and keeping good spirits in!

The Nottingham 10K is a fantastic event to be part of and our cadets proved their amazing commitment and dedication throughout.

Well done, brilliant effort indeed ⭐️
