✨ Reflecting on Another Successful Thursday at the Wahda Langarkhana Project ✨

Although a little later than planned, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on another wonderful evening on Thursday 28th May. 💛

Once again, our community came together to enjoy fresh hot meals, friendly conversations, and a welcoming atmosphere where everyone was treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.
Langarkhana is about more than food. It is about connection, belonging, and ensuring that everyone has a place where they feel valued and welcome.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated chefs, incredible volunteers, generous supporters, and all our guests who continue to make this project so special. Your support helps us build a stronger and more compassionate community every week.

🌟 Stronger Together, Serving Together 🌟

Wahda CIC was proud to support the Himmah Solidarity Walk and stand alongside so many incredible organisations, volunteers, and community members united by a shared commitment to helping those facing hardship across Nottingham.

It was inspiring to see people from all backgrounds come together in the sunshine, demonstrating the true power of solidarity, compassion, and community spirit. Every step taken was a reminder that when we work together, we can create meaningful change and support those who need it most.

Congratulations to everyone involved in raising an amazing £11,497 for Himmah's vital services. This achievement reflects the generosity, kindness, and collective strength of our city.

A huge thank you to Himmah for organising such a wonderful event and to all the organisations, supporters, and walkers who took part.

Last Thursday, we once again opened our doors to serve fresh hot meals, warm conversations, and a welcoming space for everyone in our community. 🍲💛

From families and elders to individuals facing difficult times, it was heartwarming to see people come together around the table with dignity, kindness, and respect. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, connection, and the simple reminder that no one should ever feel alone.

Our dedicated chefs prepared delicious freshly cooked meals, while our incredible volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every guest felt welcomed and cared for. Their compassion and commitment continue to make this project possible every single week.

💛 Another Successful Evening at the Langarkhana Project 💛

Yesterday was yet another powerful reminder of why the Langarkhana Project exists.
So many people — families, elders — came together to enjoy a hot meal, a warm space, and the comfort of community. ❄️🍛❤️

The smiles, conversations, and moments of togetherness created an atmosphere filled with hope and humanity.
For some, it was a meal.
For others, it was warmth.
But for many, it was simply a place to belong.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Volunteers who give their time, energy, and compassion every single week.
Your kindness turns cold nights into warm memories. 💛

​We are thrilled to share that this week was another heart-warming success at Wahda CIC. The hall was filled with the aroma of freshly prepared meals and, more importantly, the sound of community and connection.

​From our talented chefs in the kitchen to our dedicated volunteers on the floor, everyone worked together to ensure that no one eats alone. We are so proud to serve the Nottingham community and provide a space where dignity and community spirit come first.
