The Practical Philosophy Course Nottingham The School of Philosophy, a regional branch of the School of Philosophy and Economic Science.

Our 10 weeks course in Nottingham is intended to show how philosophy may help us enjoy richer, less stressful and more useful lives

Personal experience and observation is valued above theoretical learning

This is based on the idea that we can only ever really know something if we experience it ourselves

When other areas of life fall into a state of uncertainty or doubt, philosophy can provide

directions and a sure way forward

Courses start at the beginning of each academic term. This page is moderated and contributed to by fans and students of the Practical Philosophy course.
