Victoria and I completed training with Women’s Aid last week to deliver a new face-to-face programme for women called Steps to Freedom with Womens Aid Nottingham.

It’s a 10-week course supported by a beautifully designed journal that participants use throughout, taking it home and bringing it back each week as they reflect, learn, and build on their progress. The programme focuses on self-care, creating space for reflection, journaling, mindfulness, and includes a wide range of therapeutic activities, including arts and creative work.

We are exctited to start this course at the end of May this year and are looking for participants now so please get in touch if you'd like to get involved!

Sherwoor Institute Placement Day

It's that time of year again when we are looking for new placement students. Fortunately, we don't have to look far! SPTI is bursting at the seams this year, with plenty of well-trained and ethically minded, trauma-informed counsellors and psychotherapists. Thank you for hosting the Placement Fair yesterday. It was thoroughly enjoyable, and we met some lovely people. We look forward to working with some of the therapists soon, whom we had the pleasure of meeting.
