Coming from Paupers' Press later this month: 'My Search for Jack the Ripper': This booklet contains all five of Colin Wilson’s articles written for the London Evening Standard and published between the 8th and 12th of August, 1960. An update, written in 1994, reveals how his thoughts on who might have been the perpetrator, developed over the years. Added to this is an essay on Wilson’s much under-rated ‘Ripper Novel’, Ritual in the Dark, by his bibliographer, Colin Stanley, who appends a series of photographs taken in the East End of London, during January 1974, when the area was finally being cleared. Damon Wilson, Colin’s son, who co-wrote his father’s final book An End to Murder in 2015 and collaborated with him on many other true-crime volumes, adds a newly penned Introduction.
