The October meet of the Watnall Early Birds was a great success. We head 4 visitors and our speaker Jonathan Smith, Detectorist was excellent. He told us how he started his new hobby 15 years ago and explained the do's and don't and the difference between genuine enthusiasts and what they call Night Hawks. He brought a wide selection of the various items he has found, as well as slides showing an exceptional gold coin he found, which is now on display in a museum. The next meeting is our Annual Meeting on Friday 6 November at 10am when we will be celebrating our first year. If you have not been before come along and hear about all the interesting meetings you missed and what we have planned for the coming months.

🚕We welcomed Stephen Browne to our September meeting and were delighted with his anecdotes about learner drivers and what some had said and done interspersed with lots of information on the requirements of the current driving test. Very different from when most of us passed. He rounded off his talk with an hilarious mock driving lesson, ably assisted by our President Jean.
