Aid2Gambia

Aid2Gambia Aid2Gambia is a Nottingham based charity established in February 2014 to improve predominantly Educational and Medical schools and clinics in The Gambia.

Aid2Gambia is a Nottingham based registered charity No 1157962 established in February 2014 to collect predominantly Medical and Educational equipment that is no longer needed in the UK and ship it to The Gambia where we deliver and install the items in Schools, clinics and hospitals that are desperately in need. As a group we have experience in shipping and installing this type of equipment in Th

e Gambia and have seen significant improvements in the schools we have had contact with. We have sought the experience of a member of the Early Childhood Development Association (ECDA) to enhance the work that we do. We have a local Gambian helping us and he is able to guide us to sustainable schools that are so in need and when we are not there keeps an eye on our projects to ensure that all the equipment is looked after and maintained.

Good Morning .

I write this with a very heavy heart.
We have had to suspend all collections immediately due to a critical illness.

I think we are on top of things with the help of my amazing friends and supporters.

THIS IS NOT THE END.

While collections and shipping will not restart we have a massive project in relation to the Disabled kids respite centre and this WILL succeed.

What started out as a hobby lead to so many amazing challenges and adventures.

Changing schools
Driving ambulances and putting them back to work.
Thousands of tins of baby milk.
Sending tonnes of medical aid and school equipment continues to make such a difference.

So please dont leave our community as we re plan.

Thank you for your unwavering support and to my most valuable helpers.

Watch this space.

Another video from Omar working with the children.

Teaching through play is important.

Imagine having their own space and daily activities how much better this would be for the kids.

You can join Eddies Army and make a real difference whether its a one off donation or raising money via work club or society.

Out with my helpers this morning collecting specialist feeding equipment for babies among other items.

Its £3500 to ship a container to The Gambia while it is great that we save items like this from Landfill we have no help or support from the Foreign Aid Budget or grants despite the benefits we provide.

Simple things but helping with Eddy improve his fine motor skills is important.

Imagine having a place of their own where more intensive work could make more of a difference?

By the way great shirt Eddy.

Wouldnt it be great for these kids to have a regular place to go.?
Somewhere not having to split groups. Purpose built to help them grow and thrive?

Whether its a quid.
The posh coffee challenge where you forfeit a takeaway coffee and donate the cash or join our £5 club and donate £5 a month. We could all do our bit and change lives.
