Danelaw Vikings

Danelaw Vikings Based in Nottingham, Danelaw is part of the Vikings reenactment society. We reenact viking and anglo saxon history ranging from 793-1066 (and sometimes beyond).

Whether it's a historical event, educational program, or public festival, Danelaw is dedicated to delivering high-quality, authentic and captivating reenactment experiences. Members of the Vikings Reenactment Society, Danelaw is one of the oldest early medieval reenactment groups in Nottingham. Join us in bringing history to life!

One of the many reasons clothing in our time period was so precious and so time consuming to make. When everything is made by hand from scratch (including the fibre) you want to use as much as possible

We had a great time at Stafford Castle last weekend as well as one of our members supporting our friends Hrútar lið Vikings in Derby! It was a hot weekend but we prevailed!

Calling local schools for VikeFest 2027
On Thursday 24 June, 2027, as part of the largest ever Viking history festival in the UK, we would like to invite school groups
to step back in time with us to experience the England of the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.
The day will create an immersive experience for KS2 children studying the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings (793-1066) enabling them to further appreciate first hand the England of 1,000 years ago.
