Community Facility
Steeped in a rich history, this former slipper bath was closed down by Nottingham City Council in 2004. Since then, with the generous and unwavering support of the Lenton community, it has emerged to provide local people with many different services daily.
After purchasing the building in 2005 for just £10, The Lenton Centre (TLC) has successfully restored this historic bu
ilding, now boasting a wide variety of modern facilities overseen by a friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate staff.
Situated less than a mile away from the University of Nottingham, TLC provides an invaluable service for students; not only does TLC offer a welcoming and inexpensive gym and swimming pool membership, but it also allows students a chance to mingle with members of the wider community. From within TLC, several organisations provide a range of fantastic services which benefit the community, including:
Quackers Swim School
A swim school providing lessons for children of all ages.
West Area Project
A Day Centre, providing the perfect opportunity for adults with learning disabilities to try a wide range of exercises, activities and games, and to receive information on how to remain active and eat well.
The Centre's facilities include:
• A traditional 18 m by 7 m Swimming Pool and changing rooms.
• A fitness suite containing a wide selection of gym equipment, including treadmills and cycling machines.
• A range of different classes.
• Meeting rooms and Hall space available for hire.
• Office Spaces
• Parking facilities
