The earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10th has left a devastating situation, with many families facing moments of pain, uncertainty and great need.
In response to this emergency, REMAR SOS Colombia has activated its emergency response protocol, and teams of volunteers are already working on the ground, especially in Cali, Pereira and Armenia, bringing assistance to those who need it most.
During these first few days, more than 200 meals have been distributed to people who have lost their homes and are now facing extremely vulnerable circumstances.
Support has also been provided to volunteers from other organizations, police officers, workers and people who are helping with emergency response efforts and the removal of debris.
These are difficult times. Some families have lost everything. But in the midst of this reality, REMAR wants to bring food, assistance, love, compassion and words of hope.
You can also be part of this response. From wherever you are, you can extend a hand of love and compassion to the families in Colombia who need help today.

Christmas is coming quickly…But for many families, it’s a season filled with worry, not joy.

Many are struggling just to get by — to put food on the table or a smile on their child’s face.

At Remar Nottingham, our foodbank continues to serve those most in need.
This year, Foodbank Day falls on Tuesday December 23rd, and our dedicated volunteers will be there — ready to help as many as we can.

But we need your help.
Our shelves are running low, and we’re asking for food donations so no family goes without this Christmas.
We’re also collecting toys, new or in good second-hand condition, to make sure every child wakes up to a bit of magic on Christmas morning.
