Freemasons’ Hall has been part of Nottingham’s skyline for nearly a century but what happens inside has always been shaped by the people of this city.

As Freemasonry continues to evolve, our focus is simple: being open, visible, and connected to the communities we serve.
From local charity work to volunteering and supporting good causes, Nottinghamshire Freemasons are proud to play a small part in the bigger story of this city.

We are saddened to share the news that our longest-serving member, W. Bro. Urban Burrows PAGDC, has passed away aged 86 following complications occurring during surgery.

One post is not sufficient to capture Urban’s achievements and contribution to Freemasonry, and the high esteem which he was held within Daybrook Lodge. The Brethren of the Lodge are united in their grief and have been privately sharing stories about what Urban meant to them.

The family have asked for privacy at this time and will be supported by the Lodge and other Nottinghamshire Freemasons.

Please keep his wife, Marlene, family, friends, and brothers in your thoughts.
