We are saddened to share the news that our longest-serving member, W. Bro. Urban Burrows PAGDC, has passed away aged 86 following complications occurring during surgery.

One post is not sufficient to capture Urban’s achievements and contribution to Freemasonry, and the high esteem which he was held within Daybrook Lodge. The Brethren of the Lodge are united in their grief and have been privately sharing stories about what Urban meant to them.

The family have asked for privacy at this time and will be supported by the Lodge and other Nottinghamshire Freemasons.

Please keep his wife, Marlene, family, friends, and brothers in your thoughts.

Masonic Charitable Foundation(the Freemasons’ charity) has committed up to £50,000 to support relief efforts in the Caribbean following Hurricane Melissa.

The MCF is working with partners in the region and the UK to identify how best to allocate the funds and support communities as they begin to rebuild.

We’re delighted to be supporting NTU Freemasonry Society at today’s Nottingham Trent University Trent Students Freshers Fair.

As well as having a stall at the Fair, we’ll be across the road at Freemasons Hall on Goldsmith Street to answer any questions students might have. We look forward to speaking to you.
