* Enable babies and pre-school aged children with motor difficulty or motor development delay (e.g. cerebral palsy or Down Syndrome and associated disabilities) to develop their mobility, coordination and communication skills
* Provide emotional and practical support for their families
* The only centre in Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire to offer Conductive Educa

We had the fantastic news this week that we are the winners of the Best Children’s Disability Support Charity 2026 category, in the SME News’s Midlands Enterprise Awards 2026.

We're incredibly proud to be the only Conductive Education in Nottingham and of the transformative services we provide for children and families living with disabilities, and we're delighted to have been recognised in this way

We're sending so much luck and love to all of our Footprints children who are starting school placements in September 2026!

One of our services is supporting the families of children who are transitioning to school, and we're incredibly privileged to be part of their journey to this point and provide our learnings to their new teaching teams, providing a transition summary report for each of the children.

We invite teachers and teaching assistants to our sessions and also attend meetings, all to share our learning and advocate the child and parents’ views on their aspiration for this new and exciting chapter.

Our Head of Service Erika Juhasz said "we're wishing our school leavers and their families all the best and joyful years to come with your new chapter, and please keep in touch to let us know about your new adventures!"

Today is and a fantastic opportunity for us to thank all of our wonderful families, volunteers, supporters and partners.

Our mission is to transform the lives of children living with mobility and communication difficulties, providing Conductive Education and other life changing services, all to develop skills to thrive and achieve children's potential, and empowering their families.

Everyone who works and supports us are making a difference to the lives of children living with disabilities, and there are lots of different and exciting ways to work with us -

We would like to say a big thank you to Barney, who in July completed the Ripon Olympic Triathlon, and decided to fundraise for Footprints, raising £195.

Barney told us "it was a joy to be able to use my triathlon to raise money for Footprints", and every penny raised will be utilised for the transformative services and support we provide for children living with disabilities.

Our fantastic Champion Ambassador Lisa Fox has teamed up with Jaime from for the month of September, with all commission from the purchase of the amazing Fragrance Flowers will be donated to our charity.

The fragrance flowers smell and look fantastic, and are a stylish diffuser that comes in many fragrances.

Jaime is on hand to help you choose your fragrance, and there are some great deals to be had, with one eye on that event that happens in December!

Last Thursday our Head of Service Erika attended the Mobility Centre Summer party, at Nottingham City Hospital.

This was a fantastic opportunity for us to share more information about Footprints and the transformative services and support we provide.

Today our Business Admin Apprentice Lillymay headed over to Hays Travel Hucknall to join them for a cheque presentation for £2,020.40.

This money was raised last Christmas, when they organised a coach trip to Manchester's Christmas Market, along with a raffle, festive quiz and bingo!

Thank you to the Hays travel team for organising this and to Dougie's Mum, Charlotte, for recommending us as a charity.

Today we held our very first Makaton Open Morning!

Organised to celebrate , our Licensed Makaton Tutor Jo Powell shared more information about Makaton and its transformative benefits.

Multiple studies show that Makaton facilitates and increases communication, and through this enables an increase in positive social interaction and behaviour. ‘

‘Makaton allows children flexibility in communicating in ways that suit them, increasing feelings of inclusivity, and leading to a better quality of life.' BMJ

Did you know that we have a Footprints Online Shop? 🛒👣

We have a fantastic selection of Footprints branded products on our Online Shop, including mugs, clothing, teddies, to t shirts and bucket hats!

We also have personally designed products produced in collaboration with , including key rings, bottle openers and coasters.

This is a fantastic way to support our charity, with all of the money raised being utilised for the life changing services and support we provide for children and families living with disabilities across the East Midlands.

👣We're proud to be the only Conductive Education Centre in Nottingham and last year transformed and moved to our new Footprints Centre in Clifton.
