Love this! It’s so true. We each have our own story, a reason why we sing, a mixture of experience levels - but, there’s a place for us all!

It's a FREE 5 week event. No cost!

🌴 Rehearsal Cancelled Tonight! 🔆

It's far too beautiful outside to stay indoors! Because of the gorgeous hot weather and the half-term holidays, we're giving our singers the night off tonight. 😎 Our members have worked incredibly hard over the last few months, so tonight is all about relaxing, unwinding, and staying cool. To anyone due to visit us for the first time, we look forward to meeting you next week. Until then. Enjoy the sun! 🍦🎶

We are all incredibly proud of our director's husband Duncan Blackeby and his quartet The Emerald Guard for their well deserved induction into the BABS - British Association of Barbershop Singers Hall of Fame. We've had the pleasure of seeing them perform from day 1, most recently as guests on our Christmas show. Congratulations Duncan, Andy Allen, Tim Briggs and Antoine Kaiserman. 🎶🎉

Last night we were inducted into the BABS Hall of Fame. An honour that we are immensely proud of that doesn't quite seem real.

BABS has been our barbershop home since we started singing together 14 years ago. The membership has become our extended family and we are so grateful for the endless, unwavering love we have received as a quartet.

To have one of our best friends, Simon Lubkowski, be the one to induct us was truly special.

All of this was wrapped around our most enjoyable contest experience to date where we achieved another personal best of 83.1%. The ovations from the audience were overwhelming and the feedback was really heartwarming.

AND on top of that! You've all been buying socks from us, wearing our merch and donating to the gofundme. We're nearly at our fundraising goal for St Louis and you've all just been incredible. We hope to make you all proud in July.

What a weekend.

The contest set of dreams… ✨ 🪄

♥️ Our package this year had heart, and was inspired by a real, true love story.

💒 Our director, Ellie Bee and her husband Duncan (equally as talented and sings with The Emerald Guard) sang ‘I won’t dance’ with their wedding band which merged into ‘Just the way you look tonight’ for their first dance at their own wedding 13 years ago.

🎵 Then, add a whole lot of musical wizardry with a custom uptune from David Wright - who also happened to be a guest at their wedding.

💃🏼 Mix that with coaching time with Valerie Taylor and Anna Rosenberg Adlerstam

👯‍♀️ and gold sparkly costumes!

= a contest set full of heart ✨ ❤️

This set is going to forever be a special one for Lace City… and the fun has only just begun!

A gigantic ‘Good Luck’ to Pitch and Mix - Mixed Barbershop Chorus who are heading to BABS - British Association of Barbershop Singers this weekend to compete.

We share lots of members and their director, Jo Bird is our bass section leader, assistant director, front row star and just all round LEGEND! 💥
