🌸 Menopause Awareness Month 🌸

Menopause is a natural stage of life, but for many women it can affect wellbeing, confidence and day-to-day life, including work.

Everyone's experience is different, which is why sharing experiences and practical tips can be so valuable. One colleague found it helpful to write down their symptoms before speaking to their GP, making it easier to discuss concerns and explore support options. Others find simple changes, such as dressing in layers, can help manage symptoms throughout the day.

You Can Help Provide Specialist Dementia Support!

A gift in your Will can help ensure that people living with dementia - and their carers -receive the specialist support they need.

A legacy of 10% from a £325,000 estate could subsidise more than 1,800 visits to our Specialist Dementia Day Service. This service offers tailored, innovative support that helps people maintain skills, confidence, and connection.

Last year, Age UK Notts delivered over 2,000 specialist dementia care sessions, giving families reassurance, respite, and the knowledge that their loved one is in safe, expert hands.

Join our Living Well at Home Service as an Area Co-ordinator.

You'll assess new clients, develop support plans, supervise a small team of Living Well Assistants and help older people remain independent in their own homes.

20 hours per week
Permanent position
Home-based with travel across Greater Nottingham (initially Rushcliffe)

Experience in social care, community support, healthcare, domiciliary care or customer-facing roles is advantageous.

If you have great people, organisation and communication skills and a passion for supporting older people, we'd love to hear from you.

Loneliness affects thousands of older people across Nottinghamshire — but a gift in your Will can help change that.

A legacy of 25% from a £325,000 estate could subsidise our Companion Service, supporting more than 400 people to feel less isolated and more connected to their community.

Our Companion Service helps older and vulnerable people stay socially active — whether that’s through regular phone calls, home visits, or getting out and about with the support of a carefully matched volunteer companion. It helps people rediscover joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
