For the last 7 weeks our Tuesday group members have been working with Chris from Creative Paths CIC.

We've spent time tapping into skills we didn't know we had and as a result, produced some beautiful pieces of art. Our creativity has blossomed 😃🎨🖌

Our sincere thanks to Chris for making the sessions so enjoyable and inclusive. We're really looking forward to working with him again in the future!

Today we visited Spring Lane Farm Shop & Café for a delicious cream tea.

Thanks to My Journey CIC for getting us there and back safely - top service as always. ⭐

We could all do with a little lie down now. 😋

Today marks what would have been our Lifelong President and Founder Member, Pauleen Davies's 100th birthday.

Pauleen was a truly remarkable lady who by striving to prevent loneliness and isolation in older people, became a huge instigator in forming Radford Care Group back in 1968.

Now 68 years later, our centre remains focused on these values and offers a range of services to support older people and their carers to remain part of their community.

Happy 100th birthday Pauleen! ❤️🎂🎈💯

Hot weather can be particularly challenging for people living with dementia.

They:
• may not recognise when they are getting too hot,
• may forget to drink enough fluids ,
• be unable to communicate that they feel unwell.

If the person you care for becomes increasingly confused, very drowsy, develops a high temperature, stops sweating, or appears seriously unwell, seek urgent medical advice.

Please also remember to look after yourself! Caring for someone in extreme heat can be exhausting. Stay hydrated, keep cool, and take regular breaks whenever possible.

Music; rhythm, melody and harmony .............and in our case, a pretty good incentive to get moving! A few vocals from "The King" (not HRH of course, we're talking ELVIS!!!) followed up with some disco from the 70's, who can resist Saturday Night Fever?!?!🕺🪩
