Rushcliffe Barn Owl Project Barn Owl Conservation.

By erecting nesting boxes in Good habitat, we give the Barn Owl somewhere to nest and roost, replacing the many holes in trees lost when hedgerows were removed to enlarge fields for crops.

You might have thought I'd been a bit quiet lately as I've been stricken with a respiratory illness that has prevented me from doing anything!
Fortunately some local ringers from the South Notts Ringing Group are being a great help and reporting high numbers of chicks so look like I'm missing a good year!
The Barn Owls have been my life for 26 years and I love the work!
All I want to do is to recover enough to carry on!

For any friends who want to see the end of hunting with hounds in this country then please fill in and send off the DEFRA consultation; https://consult.defra.gov.uk/.../trail-hunting-consultation/ - It's a bit long winded but worth it if you want to see the end to the vile fox and deer hunting as the hunters continue to ignore the laws of the land by pretending to be trail hunting when they don't even lay a trail.
Help us put an end to this cruel pasttime for good
