Theres more people reporting taking M**A by putting it in their drink. Although its in some ways easier there are other potential factors that can make using M**A in this way a greater risk and worth being mindful of!

This post breaks down some of the key risks and practical harm reduction advice to help you stay safer, look after your freinds, and know when it's time to get medical help.

🧠This week, let's shine a light on mental health awareness!

🌞 Every day is a chance to prioritize your well-being, but this week, take a moment to pause and reflect on what nourishes your mind and soul. Remember, it's ok to not be ok, and its ok to not have it all together and it's powerful to acknowledge when you need support.

We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with Nottingham Trent University 🎉

You’ll now spot our banner outside the Support & Wellbeing Hub in the Newton Building!

If you ever want a chat, some guidance, or just someone to listen, we’re here for you. While we’re not based in the hub, we’d be more than happy to meet you there or at our office just around the corner from Rock City

This Neurodiversity Celebration week, we want to celebrate everyone. Everyone’s brain works in its own incredible way and that’s something to celebrate.

Whether you’re autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or just think differently, your voice and your experience matter.

In our under‑25s drug & alcohol support service, we know that neurodivergent young people often face extra pressures: sensory overload, school stress, being misunderstood, or feeling like you have to “mask” to fit in.

You don’t need to change who you are to get support.
We’re here to work with your strengths, your pace, and your way of thinking.

If you’re struggling with substances, need someone to talk to, or just want to understand what’s going on for you, we’re here to help.

Last week we supported final year students at NTU City at their Health Promotion Fair. The students have been working hard on their Binge Drinking and Ketamine Awareness campaigns. Their research was impressive, resources were impactful and importantly, staff and students left knowing more about alcohol and ketamine. It was inspiring to listen to your aspirations to promote Harm Reduction at University and beyond, well done to you all!

It is always a pleasure to support students that are passionate about spreading the message of Harm Reduction to their peers. If you are running a campaign, or just want to spread the word about Partying Safer, please get in touch or DM us we will be happy to support you! Remember – we support up to 25s so you can always visit us after you finish uni!😊

Something new is launching in Nottingham.

A brand-new va**ng support service is coming to the city, and we want young people to help name it.

Your opinion matters, comment below your choice and vote for the name you think fits best!

A rare *almost* full team photo of us all at CGL The Place Nottingham.

Yesterday we were visited by the CYP director at CGL. It was good to be able to show our team spirit and the work we are doing. And it reminded us all about why we do the work that we do.

Here at The Place we want to support YOU. If you feel like you would benefit from support please get in touch.

You can’t go wrong with free pizza 🍕

After a short break, we’re excited to relaunch our Thursday group for 2026 🎉

Yesterday we ran a feedback session to hear from our clients. We laughed, we listened, we learned and we ate lots of pizza!

Their voices matter and help us shape the support we offer.
