Mojatu Foundation Mojatu Foundation is an innovative and vibrant hub for community information distribution and supports girls and women through empowerment initiatives.

We transform communities through Health, Media, Training initiatives, community cohestion and engagement. Our campaigns have been on tackling Female Ge***al Mutilation, Forced Marriage, Modern Slavery and a big focus on empowering women and girls. We championed and lobbyed to get Nottingham City to officially declare Zero tolerance to FGM- the first in the UK to do. This later involved working with the UN and Women Federation for World Peace International.

As Mojatu Foundation, we are incredibly grateful to the Randal Charitable Foundation for supporting our mission to empower communities and create lasting social impact. Through this funding, we have been able to strengthen our programmes, expand community engagement, and provide vital support to young people and vulnerable groups through health awareness, wellbeing initiatives, skills development, and inclusive community projects.

This partnership has not only helped us deliver meaningful change on the ground, but has also strengthened our ability to amplify unheard voices, create safe spaces, and build opportunities for sustainable growth within our communities. Every activity, workshop, outreach session, and success story reflects the value of collaborative support and shared commitment to social transformation.

We are proud of the progress made so far and look forward to continuing this important work while building on the impact already created. Thank you to the Randal Foundation for believing in our vision and helping us make a real difference in people’s lives.

Mental Health Awareness Week reminds us that strong communities play a powerful role in supporting emotional wellbeing. 💚

This year’s theme, Community, highlights the importance of connection, kindness, and creating safe spaces where people feel heard, valued, and supported. Through conversations, wellbeing activities, and access to support resources, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Let us continue checking in on one another, promoting compassion, and building healthier communities together.

Protection has evolved—are you in the loop?
Condoms are important, but they’re not the only way to stay protected. PrEP is a daily pill that helps prevent HIV, while PEP is emergency medication you can take within 72 hours after possible exposure. Both options are free, confidential, and available at local clinics.
Take control of your health—be proactive, not reactive. Check if PrEP is right for you via the link in our bio.
