Thank you Sharon Mills for this insight Into The Historical impact.
Key Achievements of the Bridges Community Trust formally the Meadows Partnership Trust
Meadows One Stop Shop
From 2006 The Trust formed key partnerships with specialist providers to bring in provision (under one roof) to tackle and address key barriers local people represented . There was a time where the trust housed at the One Stop Shop key specialist organisations such as :

Nottingham City Homes
John Stora Clinic
Police Community Beat Team
Meadows Advice Group / CAB
Community Health Provision
Food Bank
DWP Disability Work Coach
Counselling Support Services
Nottingham City Transport
Shelter / Salvation Army
Meadows Diabetic Group

At that time there was nowhere else in the city that had established these key links and brought specialist providers together to help and support some of the Meadows residence who had multiple complex barriers and delivering there specialist provision from one stop shop under one roof.

Employment and Skills
There was a time when the Trust lead the way city wide in the delivery of very successful Employment and Skills Projects and contracts co-ordinating and bringing together city wide partnerships with key providers at the time to bring in much needed funding to deliver this service both local and across the city. This included setting up work clubs across the city in some of the most disadvantaged communities.

Our Employment and Skills Team were the first to achieve the MATRIX Quality mark In Advice and Guidance and the only 3rd sector organisation City Wide with a fully qualified Team of Employment Advisers.
Key Funding Contracts included
< Information Advice and Guidance
< Nottingham Works
< ESF 1.2B
< The Ignite Youth Project
< Recurring Grant
< Priority Families
< D2N2
< Fit for work
< Digital Inclusion
< Skills for Jobs
< Area Based Grant
< Sustrans Travel Grants
< Help for Homeless

Over the years the trust has helped and supported thousands of people into employment, training and voluntary work.

Obtaining Lead Provider for the 3rd sector
The Trust secured funding as Area Lead Organisation for the 3rd sector for Area 8 (Meadows and Clifton) and for a time Dunkirk and Lenton, City Centre and Wollaton and was able to obtain funding to support local small groups. Without our support most of the small community organisations would of not been able to obtain this funding to deliver their provision. Small groups we supported included

< Switch Up and Nottingham School of Boxing
< Meadows Community Gardens

📣 Public Announcement: Closure of The Bridges Community Trust
Dear community,
We would like to inform you that The Bridges Community Trust has now formally closed.

The organisation has ceased operating, and the company was officially struck off the register at Companies House. We have also submitted all final documentation to the Charity Commission, and the charity is now in the process of being removed from the Register of Charities (a process which can take up to 3 months to complete).

We want to express our deep gratitude to everyone who has supported us over the years — our volunteers, funders, partners, local families, and the wider community. Your dedication and involvement have made a real difference.

As we close this chapter, please know that all records, finances, and responsibilities have been properly finalised, and the closure has been completed with full transparency and care.

This page will remain online for a short period so everyone has the chance to see this announcement. It will then be archived or removed once the Charity Commission completes the final removal process.

Thank you once again for being part of our journey.
If you have any outstanding questions, please message us directly here and we will do our best to respond.
With appreciation,
The Trustees of The Bridges Community Trust
