Yesterday was a massive day for us. Months of work on our Waterside Bridge community project culminated on the bridge itself, as the paper chain of hundreds of links was finally joined — a riot of colour, collaboration and joy.

Pupils from , Lady Bay Pre-school and William Booth Primary School each created their own link, connecting the communities now joined by the new Waterside Bridge - the first new crossing over the River Trent in over 70 years.

Our annual community project always celebrates the people in the place we live. Extending it across the river for the first time made this one extra special.

Huge thanks to our local councillors Sue Mallender, Richard Mallender and Penny Gowland, and to the team from Balfour Beatty 🏗 for making it happen.

Thank you so much to Lady Bay Arts trail visitors for showing so much interest in my work and buying my work. Thank you to the organisers for all the hard work involved. It was such a pleasure sharing the space at Poppy and Pint with super talented fellow artists. In between chatting to visitors I managed to get an entry in my sketch book of my cup of tea & biscoff, as you do!

Calling all art explorers! 🌟

Our Kids Art Trail is back — and it's completely free!

Pick up your trail sheet at the school entrance, then hunt for the hidden star in the art across 6 venues along Trent Boulevard. Find all 6, write down the colour of each star and the artist's name, and claim your prize at the Gallery Café at the school.

Every child in the family gets their own sheet — and all the art can be spotted from the pavement so no need to go inside.

Perfect for little ones who want their own adventure on the day. 🎨⭐
