This week I received a very exciting parcel which I’ve been looking forward to for what feels like forever!

If you’ve seen the film “I Swear” ( ) then you might recognise the device featured in these photos.

This is my new device!!! To start with I just want to say that I’m aware that it’s such a privilege to be able to own this device as I know it isn’t financially possible for many. This is a wearable device which has been found to help reduce tics in those with Tourette’s Syndrome by using median nerve stimulation.

This is a very exciting new chapter and a first of its kind which I’m looking forward to exploring and experimenting with. I feel it’s going to be a lot of trial and error of how the device can be used to benefit my day to day life overall. The possibility that this may give me back a tiny bit of control over my own life, body and brain is something that I’ve never had and never thought I’d get either. I’m going into this with a very open mind to not put pressure or expectations on the effects it may have on my tics as it’s all still so unknown.
