What a lovely way to end the Spring Term at 1st Flintham.

Our Beavers and Cubs all brought a friend to the session with them, to join in on an egg-citing Easter egg hunt in the field.

We then played lots of games, and great fun was had by all!

Everyone managed to find an egg to take home - and we're not 'yolking'! (Sorry 🤣)

Thank you to Flintham Village Hall for the use of the wonderful cosy space that you have created, and we look forward to using it a lot more in the future!

Happy Easter to everyone, from 1st Flintham Scout Group 🐣

What a lovely evening - 1st Flintham have enjoyed a combined Christmas Party with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and it's been fantastic!
We've done the Conga, Pass the Parcel, Musical Chairs, the Chocolate Game and Christmas Cards puzzle game.
A party tea was also enjoyed by all :-)

AND, to top it off, two Silver Chief Scout Awards - not easy to achieve, and very well deserved ⚜⚜

1st Flintham wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and an amazing Scouting 2026

Explaining that if there is a Zombie Apocalypse - mobile phones or GPS won't work; our Cubs and Beavers have done some OS map reading, a Minecraft map reading quiz, and drawing their own island map.

They did really well, but we won't wish for zombies to try out their skills!

Last night our Cubs and Beavers worked hard to finish off a number of badges. The Cubs have been working on a number of their Challenge badges, including their Team Work and Team Leader badges, and the Beavers on their International Badge and learning about different safety codes.

We learnt the Beaver Promise in Ukrainian (apologies to all for the pronunciation, and thank you for the help from one of our Beavers) and all about different flags.

We also learnt/recapped the Countryside and Green Cross Code.

We discussed different types of teams, and the roles within them (who knew there were SO many people who make up a football club!) 🤣

We also had one of our Cubs running a Kim's Game activity for all to enjoy and he was FANTASTIC - definitely a Scout leader in the making!

As usual, when we have an extra special day out, I am NOT going to apologise for the amount of pictures.

Our Cubs and Beavers have had an amazing day at Donna Nook Nature Reserve - one of the UK's largest seal colony's where 1000's of grey seals come to the coastline to have their pups every year.

We sang on the minibus all the way there, walked along the coastline to awe at the seals (if you've never been - GO!), picnic lunch on the minibus, and sang all the way back.

PLUS - the icing on the cake - a Beaver investiture at a seal colony! Is that a first?

Well done Cubs and Beavers - you did us proud AGAIN, and we hope you enjoyed your day.
