With the new season of the Mansfield and District Table Tennis League, it's congratulations to Paula Elaine Banister and Chris Blood, both of Division 2 Ravenshead Renegades for picking up 3 out 3 wins in their first match against Ravenshead Raptors. From the Raptors it was a successful welcome to the club for Neil Linfield, picking up a debut win, in a match that finished 8-2 to the Renegades.
Elsewhere, there was a good team win for Ravenshead Rollers over a strong Sherwood Oak Majors side, Michael Rand, Jody Feng and John Howbrook all contributing to a 6-4 result.
Meanwhile, in another all Ravenshead clash, Raiders overcame the Revolvers 8-2 with a player of match performance from David Diffin supported by two wins apiece for James Diffin and Matt Slade. Matt showing no signs of nerves in a fine first outing in the Mansfield league.
Matches will continue at Ravenshead for the rest of the season, but all players are welcome to come along and practice too.
