2025 ended on a high note for our community garden in Mkhombo Village, Lower Gweru, Midlands Province in Zimbabwe.
The 10x50m Greenhouse completed in June, was officially handed over to the now registered Cooperative at a Commissioning Ceremony held on the 12th of December.
A healthy crop of Cucumbers growing in the Greenhouse is being picked for the market as of the first week of 2026.
The high-value infrastructure and crops growing in the garden require more security against malicious damage and theft.
The current fence offers no deterrent for thieves and vandals.
£2500 will pay for the materials and labour to erect a lockable gate and 400m of security fence around the garden.
