Thank you so much to Carlton Rotary for making us so very welcome at your meeting yesterday evening.
We remain truly grateful to you for all of the support which you provide to us and the people who use our service. It was lovely to see old friends and to meet new members, who all do so much to support not just ourselves but many other initiatives in the local community.
👏👏👏👏

Last night, Carlton Rotary had the pleasure of welcoming Lydia Yates , Youth Mayor of Gedling, and Hilary Brown from Phenomenal Futures .

They gave an insightful talk about their joint work raising awareness of coercive control and wider issues around abuse. It was inspiring to hear how they are working with young people and the community to encourage understanding, support, and positive change.

A big thank you to Lydia and Hilary for sharing their time and passion with us. Their work is making a real difference.

This is a powerful message from David Morrissey , please listen as he explains why his role as an Ambassador for Refuge is so important.
We are grateful for all of the men who stand with us in our work to educate and increase understanding of this hidden issue, which is devastating so many lives.
Together we can make a stand to end violence against women and girls.

Last Saturday we had an amazing day celebrating International Womens day with messages of kindness in the Park.
During the week we hosted members of Gedling Youth Council who created many of the inspiring messages for the display. We received visits from our local Arnold Councillors Wendy Lukacs, John Semens and Liz Clunie who also presented us with donations to support our work for which we are extremely grateful.
Special thanks to Lydia Yates the Youth Mayor of Gedling, who worked so hard coordinating this event alongside us. Lydia you truly are phenomenal woman!

We want to share our sincere thanks to St Saint Cyprian's Church, Nottingham who raised £700 to support our work, from their sponsored walk which was held in October 2025.
Huge thanks to everyone who walked , marshalled and gave money to achieve this fantastic amount. Special thanks go to Jill who organised and lead this event.
Your generosity enables us to keep making a difference one life at a time.

In addition to our final "Caring for Creation" talk yesterday, we heard a moving presentation from Phenomenal Futures on their work with those affected by domestic abuse and trauma. With huge thanks to our walk lead Jill, to all who assisted, walked, and supported ... we were able to present a cheque for £700.
