Want to make Nottingham’s nights safer? Could you be the person who offers a helping hand when it’s needed most?🌙

Street Pastors are looking for caring, compassionate volunteers to join their team and make a real difference in the city centre every weekend.

Whether it’s offering a listening ear, helping someone get home safely, providing practical support, or working alongside emergency services, Street Pastors are there for people when they need it most. Every shift is an opportunity to show kindness, care and support without judgement.

Based at the Malt Cross, you'll be part of a respected volunteer team that receives ongoing training, support and opportunities to connect with fellow volunteers. We ask for a commitment of just one shift per month.

To join, you’ll need to be over 18, a practising Christian, and able to provide a reference from your church leader.

A huge congratulations to our amazing White City team! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that White City, one of our Residential Therapeutic Care homes, has been awarded a "Good" rating in all areas following its recent Ofsted inspection.

This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, and hard work of every member of the team, led by Registered Manager Elaine, who has made incredible progress in a short space of time.

During the two-day inspection, inspectors praised the positive impact the team has on the lives of the young people they support, and we couldn't be prouder.

A special well done to everyone involved – your commitment to providing safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care continues to make a real difference every day. 💙

Last month, we were delighted to welcome colleagues from YMCA Germany (CVJM Deutschland) to the YMCA Community & Activity Village in Newark as part of their visit to the UK.🇩🇪

During their time with us, we shared a tour of the Village and showcased the facilities, programmes and partnerships that help make our vision a reality.

It was a great opportunity to highlight our commitment to creating positive opportunities for young people and the wider community.

The Village is more than just a building – it’s a space where people can connect, grow and thrive, helping to build confidence, aspiration and opportunity across our community.

Our young explorers have been busy getting creative and adventurous in the warm weather - from making clay mini beasts and nature bugs, to painting beautiful beehives 🎨🐝 The boys even worked together to build their own campfire! 🪵
