🌿 A Mega Community Litter-Picking Campaign in Radford 🌿on 4th September 2026.
ZUFA Connects and Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) came together to organise a mega community litter-picking operation in Radford, bringing together dedicated volunteers and community leaders with a shared commitment to creating a cleaner, greener and healthier environment. 🌍💚
We were honoured to be joined by Lilian Greenwood MP, Councillor Fozia Mubashar, Jan Parfait, Community Activist, Ambreen from Clean Champion whose participation demonstrated the importance of partnership between elected representatives, community organisations and local residents.
This campaign was about much more than simply picking up litter. It was about raising environmental awareness, taking pride in our neighbourhoods, encouraging civic responsibility and showing that positive change begins when communities come together and take action.
🌱 Caring for our environment is not just about keeping our streets clean; it is about protecting the health, wellbeing and quality of life of our communities.
🌍 By taking responsibility for the environment today, we leave a cleaner, greener and healthier neighbourhood for future generations.
A special appreciation goes to the Pakistani and Kashmiri community, whose active participation through ZUFA Connects demonstrated our community’s strong commitment to contributing positively to British society and the places we call home.
We are equally grateful to all MWF volunteers who gave their time, energy and commitment to make this campaign a success. Your dedication is a powerful reminder that community service has no boundaries—it brings people together for the common good. ❤️
This was a wonderful example of community cohesion in action, bringing people from different backgrounds together with one shared purpose: to care for our neighbourhood and make a positive difference.
🌱 Cleaner streets. Stronger communities. A better environment.
Together, we can make a difference — one street, one community and one positive action at a time.
