Last weekend saw Nottingham RockCorps come and help us give the unit much needed maintenance.

A huge BZ to all the cadets, staff, and members of the public who came along to support the Rockcorps event 👏

An incredible amount was achieved, helping transform the unit and get everything looking fresh and ready for the summer season ☀️

From painting the jetty wall to refreshing the kerbs and benches, it’s safe to say we’re off to a flying start for the boating season 🚤

This weekend, four of our cadets had the honour of attending the Nottingham High Sheriffs’ Church Service at St Mary’s Church, Nottingham.

A well-deserved Bravo Zulu to those who attended and represented us with such professionalism.

Central District Drill & Piping Competition for 2026 which took place in Gainsborough this year is complete and we really could not be prouder of our cadets who took part, some of the cadets learned the routines in under a week.

The results as they stand:

Junior sea cadets: 2nd 🥈

Last Thursday, we held an Christmas Mess dinner and Awards night for the cadets at the unit.

It was a fantastic evening bringing everyone together to celebrate 2025, the cadets enjoyed a mess dinner, and celebration on all the hard work and achievements from the past year. The night concluded with the presentation of awards, recognising the dedication, commitment, and progress of our cadets and volunteers.

Well done to all who received awards.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make such a memorable evening happen. A great way to end the year!
