Our Know Your Worth team is at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre today to talk to RCN members about job evaluation and the national review of band 5 NHS nursing jobs.

Members in band 5 posts know their roles and responsibilities better than anyone, and we're reminding them to ensure they get involved in their employer's review process so their work is properly evaluated and paid.

Join the RCN to celebrate at this year's Nottinghamshire Pride!

The RCN is going to be celebrating Nottinghamshire Pride by taking part in this year's visibility march through Nottingham city centre (from Listergate to Sneinton Market), and we'd be delighted to have as many RCN members as possible join us.

We'll be meeting outside Marks & Spencer on Listergate from 11am, with the parade itself starting at 12 noon (midday).

A familiar face on UK television screens at public health briefings during the Covid pandemic appeared in person at a study day for RCN members organised by our South Lincolnshire branch at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston this week.

Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam, former Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England, who was born and raised in Boston, gave a presentation to members about his career and experiences in the high-profile role during the pandemic.

Branch Chair Roger Hancock thanked Sir Jonathan, presenting him with a specially-designed clock on behalf of the branch.
