I am just back from delivering these delicious looking chicken tikka pies to Anon Street Team - Norwich who are running tonights soup run.
Big thanks to Tony's Discount Deli for the amazing donation this morning.
He has also given us ham, bacon and sausages.
Find him locally at Sprowston Park and Ride car boot on a Sunday morning.

SATURDAY OUTREACH....was wet and soggy! Sean turned up in shorts and t shirt, so he got extra wet! We only saw about 40 people. I suspect it just wasn't worth the drenching last night, although one young man was in a real state and needed the fresh, dry sleeping bag I had in my car.
We were a large team of 7, which was brilliant. With that number it meant that a couple of team members could move away to give support to someone, without compromising the safety of the team.
Black bin bags were used to protect our food and drinks trolleys with great effect...maybe we should have dressed Sean in one!
A special thank you to the gentleman who gave us a fiver - it will be used to buy more coffee and drinking chocolate. We get through a lot!!

URGENTLY NEEDED
Our outreach service urgently needs mens joggers and fleeces as the weather turns colder and wetter. Many of our friends may only have 1 or 2 changes of clothes and when it rains, they are unable to dry them.
It's mainly men's, medium and small sizes please.
They can be dropped off at our shop in the Dixon Shopping Centre on Reepham Road. Please label for outreach to ensure they won't be sold in the shop.
Tents and sleeping bags are, of course, an ongoing need too.

Tuesday Outreach update.

Tonight was Keith, Heather, Maria and Jane.

The team were feeling very flat and quite sad at the news of last night's violence affecting our friends in the city.

However, once we left the forum and saw the size of our queue we had little time to think of anything else.

Fortunately we had a good donation of pastries from the Cornish bakery plus our rolls and Helen's homemade cake and bread pudding so all of our friends left satisfied.

We went on our usual walkabout and saw a few more friends before returning to city hall where we met up with the volunteers from the People's picnic and passed on a few of our leftovers.

Thanks to Heather, Maria and Jane for their support tonight.

The thoughts of all us remain with those affected by last night's violence and hope that everyone involved makes a full recovery 🙏🏻

SATURDAY OUTREACH
Last night was a super cool session. Fairly quiet by recent standards, but those who were there enjoyed an extra treat of kfc!
We look forward to having Sean back next week.

Sam collected this big haul with two trolleys full of food donations from Lidi in first picture than Tom collected crates of bananas with his haul from one of the m and s stores and Larry also collected a large amount from another store.

So this evening, it's been a mental one with food collections, but that means the food bank is full and people won't go hungry,

Tom has won the b***y prize this week with his 9 crates of bananas,
