Tonight went very smoothly. We had about 40 waiting at Debenhams and luckily lovely Lorraine was there with a trolley full of hot pasties because we didn't have so much from Pret, but enough for everyone to have something, and plenty of sweet stuff. Lovely to see Sean, Niki, Daniel and Ysatis all on good form. Dilip joined us for his first outreach and did really well. We only met a couple of friends around town and just about 3-4 at city hall. The MIND people were out and about covered in lights and doing a bit of singing at the forum as we were going home. Thank you everyone lovely to see you all. Huge thank you to Greg Tasty Food Company Coffee Shop. Greg was up early this morning making 30 gluten free pasties, with ingredients bought by money donated by his supporters. I have put some to one side for our gf foodbank clients and the rest I will be taking out into the city on Saturday evening.

Huge thanks to Jade The Bake Shed Coltishall for a truly magnificent donation last week. Not only cakes and cookies for Tuesday, but home made apple crumble, syrup pudding, sticky toffee pud and a gorgeous looking chocolate pudding....all complete with custards!!.
The desserts I initially froze and then thawed and reheated for outreach on Thursday. My oven was rammed! Jade, you treasure, you provided no less than 60 individual desserts!

I am just back from delivering these delicious looking chicken tikka pies to Anon Street Team - Norwich who are running tonights soup run.
Big thanks to Tony's Discount Deli for the amazing donation this morning.
He has also given us ham, bacon and sausages.
Find him locally at Sprowston Park and Ride car boot on a Sunday morning.

SATURDAY OUTREACH....was wet and soggy! Sean turned up in shorts and t shirt, so he got extra wet! We only saw about 40 people. I suspect it just wasn't worth the drenching last night, although one young man was in a real state and needed the fresh, dry sleeping bag I had in my car.
We were a large team of 7, which was brilliant. With that number it meant that a couple of team members could move away to give support to someone, without compromising the safety of the team.
Black bin bags were used to protect our food and drinks trolleys with great effect...maybe we should have dressed Sean in one!
A special thank you to the gentleman who gave us a fiver - it will be used to buy more coffee and drinking chocolate. We get through a lot!!
