Congratulations to the Norfolk DTL Team members. No glassware, but a very well deserved 7 points towards the Directors' Trophy competition. Next up, is the turn of the FITASC team, who will be competing at Sporting Targets on the 4-6 September. We wish them the best of luck.

23 August. East Midlands Inter-Counties DTL Championship.
Well done, and thank you to the DTL shooters who competed today for Norfolk. With sunshine and a gentle breeze providing ideal conditions, the competition for glassware and Directors' Trophy points was stiff. Despite their best efforts, the Open Team placed third, 4 points behind Lincolnshire, who were beaten into second place by 1 point, by the winning Suffolk team. The Veterans' team were so close, finishing just 1 point behind Suffolk. However, there is some consolation to be had. A quick tally of the scores suggests that the team will collect 7 points towards the Directors' Trophy competition. If my calculations are correct, this will mean that we are leading the competition by 1 point from Suffolk, with three more championships left to shoot. 1 point may not seem like much, but in these instances it can make all the difference!
Our thanks to Carl and the team at Nottingham & District Gun Club, who hosted this competition, and to Colin Butler, who did such an admirable job handing out the prizes. Colin announced that he is relinquishing his role as Regional Secretary at the end of the year, and we wish him all the best in his 'retirement'. May he never have to fill out another spreadsheet or shuffle fixtures around to try and keep everyone happy. Cheers, Colin.
