Although there is no meeting on New Years Eve, there are several other activities going on;
β’ Steve G3EVA will be running a NARC New Year night net on Monday January 5th on GB3NB repeater at 19.30.
β’ Roger G3LDI, Malcolm G3PDH and Jim G3YLA plan to run their CW courses as usual and there will be various other nets and ragchews about too.
β’ NARC Wednesday meetings start back on January 7th with NARC Live and a talk from Cezar VE2LYC about the imminent Bouvet Island DXpedition which NARC has financially supported. How about sending your christmas project pictures, news and stories to Tammy and David to share with everyone - please email them to [email protected]
And we have not had many entries on our latest What on Earth competition - do you know what that tool is for?! (You can find the picture on our page and website).
They're still lighting up the skies...
James M0UKS and Lyn continue to show their wonderful Hardwick home made display of over 15,000 LED's entertaining every Christmas evening and all being controlled by a Raspberry Pi!
Full shows with music are on every day on the hour from dark, with the last show at 8pm (unless you knock and ask nicely or of course hack his Raspberry Pi!) and you can get the full address by searching for M0UKS on QRZ. Any donations received will be sent to the Stroke Ward at James Paget Hospital.
The UKS Christmas light show will run until 6th January 2026.
Video preview is here, though to be honest you canβt beat seeing it in person: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_T1bc_WxDI
