August LOTTO results are in!

Thank you to everyone who took part in this month's Lotto. We sold 150 tickets, which is fabulous considering so many supporters also helped us with our veterinary bills.

The Random Number Generator selected ticket number 80. Congratulations to Csaba from Norwich, who has won £30. Please check your emails as we have been in touch with you about collecting your prize.

The Lotto will go live again on 1st September. Please share with friends and family - the more tickets sold, the bigger the prize fund. As always, please read the documents before taking part.

UPDATE

Good morning everyone.

Another big thank you to everyone who has continued to help us with our veterinary costs. In just a few days we have reduced our bill from just under £6000 to just under £2500. We have been blessed to receive dozens of donations via the GoFundMe fundraiser, as well as donations made to our account and directly to Rackheath Vets. This is phenomenal. Thank you so much.

There are two more days left if anyone would like to buy lottery tickets. Currently, we have sold 145 tickets, giving a prize fund of £29. Ticket sales end at midnight on the 21st.

Yesterday we had a sad contract. An adult hedgehog out in the daylight, the lady said “ I’ve fed him but he smells awful!”
She had no transport to get him to anywhere. One of our amazing volunteers from the transport group was able to go get him. The volunteer checked for a nest , there wasn’t one. Sadly the volunteer could see a huge amount of maggots eating the poor little guy alive. Our volunteer drove him to the vets to be put to sleep.
Advanced flystrike is sometimes treatable but often the damage is done:(
At lease we could stop him dying under a hedge alone.
Thank you to all involved. Nature is cruel and no matter how hard we try we can’t always change that 😞

UPDATES

We would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support over the past couple of days.
Your generous donations have reduced our Vet bill (which was over £5000) to £3969. There is currently £1190 sitting in the GoFundMe account, which will go over next week when the funds have cleared.
We are still working hard to fundraise the remaining amount.

Urgent Plea!

UPDATE (Fri 14th) - we are absolutely bowled over by everyone's kindness. After 24 hours we have raised enough to cover over 1/3 of the bill. We are feeling truly blessed. Please keep sharing the link. Thank you so much.

We have received our latest veterinary bill and we have to pay this before any more animals can be treated. Our costs have stacked up this summer, so we are needing to raise over £5000. Water is life!
If you don’t happen to have a pond in your garden not to worry, a shallow bowl of water saves lives!

Wildlife are crossing busy roads to get a drink!

They are looking for water and they are struggling ! Walking upto a mile for water is using up fat reserves which are needed for winter months.
No rain means no grass, with no grazing or flowering plants they are not able to gain weight for winter!
Wildlife of all types are affected.
It’s a huge knock on situation!
The cure is water!
Well you could do a rain dance!!!
Or just put out some shallow bowls of water:) please refresh the water as often as you can!

All the wildlife are struggling with this constant heat but hedgehogs do seem too fine this weather rough! l think a lot of us are.
If you enjoy the heat you must be having a great summer!
It’s sizzling out there again!
Please put water out!!
If you have already please top it up:))

If you are designed to cope with the cold or you are wearing a think fur coat I’m guessing it’s not so much fun.
We have another hog coming from the vets this morning:)
If u find a struggling hog get him to a vet, they won’t charge you and will transfer it to a rescuer ###
