Day two of Colin's Baked Bean Challenge, going strong and marinating nicely!

A special shoutout to the first of two headline sponsors, Jonas Seafood Ltd for their incredible donation of £1000.

For some background, Colin is a longtime friend of the Jonas Seafood family, sailing with Steven and John on the North Sea trawlers for several years - we hear he was a great shipmate, famed for his halibut soup!

We're ever so grateful for his efforts as a volunteer, and for his connection to Jonas Seafood - thank you ever so much for such a generous donation!

to a couple of weeks ago, when the very lovely Jan from .harvest came in with a donation from their business AND 50 tomato plants for our Social Supermarket members.

Meadow Harvest donate organic seasonal vegetable surplus to us regularly. It's no exaggeration to say that they donate hundreds of kilograms of veg to us over the year and the selection is exciting and varied. This support throughout the year makes a massive difference to us, and the tomato donation really helps our members to start their growing journey.

Thank you Meadow Harvest for helping us to make a difference to the lives of people in Norwich.

Did you know we have a venue upstairs? The Sandys-Winsch room is a light and airy space, an ideal blank canvas for any event. We can host up to 60 guests, with buffet or Afternoon Tea options prepared by our central catering team ❤️

The room was recently used for a gathering after a funeral.
The Afternoon Tea included cheese scones, fruit scones with jam & clotted cream, handmade sausage rolls (including vegan), and a selection of beautiful cakes. all served with tea and coffee using crockery supplied by https://www.instagram.com/vintage_chic_event_hire/
