Make way for the Master of Marinating!

On the 20th June this year, our longtime volunteer Colin (who many of us know as Casey) set a new world record for the longest time bathing in baked beans: four days and ten hours. Unbelievable!

We're incredibly excited and grateful to share that while doing so, he raised a whopping £6319.44 for The Feed. This money will go a long way in supporting the social supermarket to put affordable, nourishing shopping, free fruit, vegetables, hygiene and period products on our shelves.

On Tuesday morning, Hannah from My Period came into the social supermarket. She works in conjunction with Hey Girls and they have supplied us with the most amazing amount of period and incontinence products, free for our members and members of the public generally.

Our social supermarket location will be placed on their app, so anyone can take them. No questions asked.

Hannah is also coming into the social supermarket on Tuesday of next week to speak with our volunteers about why the products are provided, what the products are, the what/how and whys, encouraging positive period conversations or feeling confident to have a period/incontinence conversation.

Things like this can make a profound difference to peoples lives and wellbeing - thank you so much Hannah.

Today we're unveiling something we're really excited about! Introducing PLENTY Lunch Club, our new corporate community meal, held at our community cafe.

We're inviting local businesses and their teams to join us for a Community Meal at The Feed. A two-course, home-cooked lunch hosted by us, cooked by our volunteer chefs, and shared with people who care about Norwich.

It's simple: you book seats for your team, we do the rest. This isn't a networking event or a corporate away-day. It's a meal to connect your team and feel part of our community.

Just show up, slow down, and enjoy good food with good people.
