Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, living with recurrence, or beyond treatment, you’re warmly welcome to join us for a chat, a cuppa, and the support of women who understand.

A huge thank you to the wonderful community at All About Friends 50 Plus in Lowestoft ✨

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing fundraising support shown to our Ovarian Cancer Support Group. Money was raised through two house parties organised by the group — the first after we were kindly chosen as their charity to support, and the second completely through their own generosity and kindness.

A special thank you to Melinda, the group organiser, and David, the treasurer, for attending our support group and taking the time to learn more about what we do and why it matters so much.

Your support will help us continue creating Comfort and Pamper Packs, offering support to women facing ovarian cancer, and reminding them they are never alone.

It means the world to our group to have the support of such thoughtful and caring people 🤍

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day

Ovarian cancer symptoms can often be vague, persistent, and easy to dismiss — which is why awareness is so important. Listening to your body and knowing the signs could help lead to an earlier diagnosis.

Today we stand with every woman affected by ovarian cancer — those newly diagnosed, in treatment, living with recurrence, remembering loved ones, and those supporting from the sidelines.

Finding Strength Together ✨

Bake Sale Success!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent bake sale at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital

From the incredible ladies in our group who volunteered their time, baked delicious treats, sourced goodies, and helped spread the word—you made this happen. The support and teamwork was amazing to see.

We’re so pleased to share that we raised an incredible £621.60 ✨

Every penny will go towards creating our Comfort and Pamper Packs, as well as thoughtful gifts for women going through some of the most difficult times. Your efforts will make a real difference.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, and showed their support 💛

Today marks the start of the Being Woman 2026 event at Mandell’s Gallery and how amazing to open on International Women’s Day ✨

One of our support group members, Janine, has created a powerful audio and visual art piece about ovarian cancer, inspired by the voices and experiences of women from our support group. Their words and stories helped shape this deeply moving work.

It’s incredibly humbling and emotional to see our shared experiences expressed through art, helping to raise awareness and give a voice to women living with ovarian cancer.

We’re so proud to support this event and grateful to Janine for creating something so meaningful from the stories of our community ✨

If you’re able to visit the exhibition, it’s a truly powerful piece to experience.

✨ Introducing Janine Oxley – Artist for Being Woman 2026 ✨

We’re so pleased to share that artist Janine Oxley will be collaborating with women from our Ovarian Cancer Support Group as part of Being Woman 2026.

Janine is an educator, facilitator and therapeutic drama practitioner who believes deeply in creativity as a powerful tool for wellbeing. With a background in Textile Design from Norwich University and a multidisciplinary practice spanning textiles, photography and writing, her work is thoughtful, reflective and rooted in human connection.

Following her own cancer diagnosis and treatment, Janine has become even more aware of life’s fragility and the importance of listening to women’s voices. Through one-to-one conversations with members of our group, she is creating a vocal sound collage and accompanying visual work using their own words and experiences.

She has spoken about being deeply moved by the resilience, humour, friendship and compassion within this community — and by the shared determination to raise awareness of ovarian cancer so that more women are heard and diagnosed earlier.

We’re incredibly proud that our members’ voices will form part of this powerful project 🤍

Our December group was made extra magical with a surprise visit from our very own Father Christmas 🎅 (thanks Jim!)

We were also delighted to welcome four new ladies to the group, making the day even more special as we shared smiles, laughter, and plenty of festive cheer together.
