About the Role

Are you an experienced social care leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care?

We are seeking a committed and capable Registered Service Manager to work flexibly across service locations to provide leadership cover, support service continuity, and respond to operational needs in our respites service, providing short-term support to individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex needs.
This is a key leadership role where you will ensure the safe, effective, and responsive delivery of care, supporting individuals and their families by providing meaningful, high-quality short breaks that promote wellbeing, independence, and choice.

You will be responsible for ensuring the service operates in line with all regulatory requirements, embedding best practice, and leading a positive and inclusive team culture.

About Our Service

Our respite service provides planned short breaks within a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. We work closely with individuals, families, and professionals to ensure each stay is tailored, enabling people to maintain independence while giving carers valuable time to rest and recharge.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strong, visible leadership to a dedicated team

* Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and organisational policies
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred support that reflects individual preferences and needs
* Oversee care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practices
* Manage staffing, recruitment, performance, and development
* Maintain effective partnership working with families, commissioners, and external professionals
* Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and service development
* Ensure governance, reporting, and operational processes are consistently completed

About You

* Proven experience in a management role within adult social care
* Strong understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory frameworks
* Experience delivering or overseeing respite or residential care services (desirable)
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
* A confident and motivating leader with excellent people management skills
* Strong communication and organisational abilities
* A proactive approach with a commitment to high standards of care

Additional Requirements

* Enhanced DBS check with Adults' Barred List
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
* Participation in on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support

Post: Senior Factory Operative

Norfolk Industries operates a small supportive commercial manufacturing business producing a range of pet bedding products in paper, viscose and fibre.

As part of a small production team, you will be responsible for producing pet bedding products as well as carrying out machinery maintenance following training and other aspects of general factory work. This is role includes key tasks including forklift truck driving, using an industrial bandsaw and acting as a first aider and fire marshal for which full training and support will be given.

During periods of absence, you will ensure that the production continues to be of commercial quality standard and meets delivery timescales, whilst considering the respective skills and abilities of other team members. You will also ensure that all individuals on work placements are effectively supported taking skills and capability into consideration. At all times you will ensure that the Health & Safety for colleagues is monitored and react & report appropriately to any concerns. You will achieve this through acting with integrity; value, respect and promote equality, diversity, dignity and inclusion.

Essential Criteria

Ability to do simple maths (additions and subtraction)

Ability to complete and pass counterbalance fork truck driving course

Ability to complete and pass First Aid at Work qualification and provide first aid cover in the factory

Proven commercial bandsaw experience

Working within a team

Basic product quality control requirements

Ability to learn machinery maintenance on a variety of basic machines

Be physically fit and able to move heavier materials and finished goods around

Self-management and self-motivation skills
