Today another hack avairy went out with another 6 juvenile tawny owls. A lovely woodland setting for these little guys to make their way back to the wild.

We also admitted another juvenile tawny owl this morning, sadly after 24 hours of monitoring it was deemed that this little guy was a lone ranger and wasn't getting cared for by his parents.
He will go in with the remaining 3 juveniles and they will all move to their hack avairy in a week's time.

We also admitted 2 very thin baby barn owls who sadly had been abandoned by the parents. The camera in thier nest box showed no adult activity for nearly 5 days.
They are now feeding slowly and a bit more active.

Sadly we still haven't found homes for these amazing little ones.
If you have a serious interest please do drop us a mesaage.
Homes will be subject to a home inspection and we will not let them go to inexperienced homes, as these guys really have been through enough and now need their forever homes.
Sasly we are being asked on a very regular basis of we can help with unwanted birds of prey. We will not let birds go for breeding either.

A late night in the hospital tonight after the arrival of a very concussed female tawny owl and 3 tiny baby little owls. Sadly their parents made their nest was in straw bales, whwn the farmer moved the bales the babies all fell out.
This is something that sadly happens most years. These little guys will take the 3 hourly feed slots that have juat been finished with the baby tawny owls.
But a thank you to the farmer for rapidly seeking help for the little guys

The firat of the Mobile hack aviaries is out and settling in ready for us to take out the first of the many tawny owlets.
Landowners play such an important role in the releasing process of the young birds that come into our care.
Not only do they give up part of their space, but also their time. The birds need feeding daily and keeping a little eye on whilst maintaining safe distancing from the birds.
Then the tailored feeding once the birds have been released. A process that can and often does take months.
Quite often this also then leads to nest boxes installed on the land and then future updates and new feathered families too.
The success of these releases is a team effort and one that you can help too of you have the land and the time to hwlp us gwt these magnificent fledglings back into the wild.
