Our Dr Bike is back in Mile Cross for a special event. He’ll be popping up at the fabulous Galley Hill Dash organised in collaboration with EPIC Norfolk on Saturday 19th September from 10am until 1pm.

In addition to the dash there’ll be wheelbarrow races and a slow bike competition! So if your bike needs some race tuning ahead of the slow bike competition or you simply need your bike to be working to carry your tired legs away at the end of the event, he’ll be there to offer basic bike repairs for free.

All bikes are welcome, no matter how rattly or rusty. He operates on a first come first serve basis. So get there early, enjoy the event and freewheel home faster at the end. All he’ll need in return is an email address to show our funder that hes fixed your bike.

Huge thanks to Cycling UK for their support to make this offer possible 🚲♻️️💚🌍

Mortal Matters

6 weekly workshops 6.30-8.30pm starting Weds 16th
Join Soul Midwife Lezley and Su from Off the Twig for a series of friendly, informal workshops where we’ll chat about all things death and dying.

Death is something many of us tend to avoid talking about, yet open and honest conversations can be surprisingly comforting, enlightening, and even uplifting. Together, we’ll gently explore the “elephant in the room” and create space to talk about something that connects us all as human beings.

Over tea, cake, and conversation, we’ll explore topics such as end-of-life wishes, funeral planning, supporting others, and how we can approach death with greater confidence and understanding. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to reflect, ask questions, and share thoughts in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

These workshops are for anyone who isn’t planning on living forever! Whether you’re thinking about your own future wishes, supporting someone else, or simply curious to learn more, you’re very welcome.

Come to one workshop, a few, or the whole series — whatever brings you along, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

Contact Lezley at [email protected] for more info and to book your place.

Week 1 - Advanced Care Planning Workshop

Week 2 - Why are so many people afraid of dying?

Week 3 - What is the role of a Soul Midwife?

Week 4 - What are the stages of a ‘normal’ death?

Week 5 - Who is a funeral really for?

Week 6 - How can we support those left behind?
