Norfolk Community Law Service is on the hunt for a new CEO.
Our current CEO David Powles is stepping down after three years to become the new CEO of homelessness charity St Martins.
David joined NCLS in 2023 following a long career as a journalist and editor at the Eastern Daily Press.
During his time leading NCLS, the team achieved a period of significant growth and change, including a move to new premises, expansion of services into harder-to-reach communities across Norfolk, record numbers of clients accessing support and the organisationās 40th anniversary celebrations.
David said: āI have loved my three years at NCLS. I feel incredibly proud of all that we have achieved during that time and the brilliant, dedicated and supportive team of colleagues, trustees and volunteers Iāve been able to work with.ā
NCLS chair of Trustees, Laurence Harris, said: āEveryone at NCLS will miss David yet we recognise this is a tremendous opportunity for him to take the helm at a larger charity. Itās recognition of what we have all known for some time, which is that David is an outstanding leader. He will be difficult to replace, but we hope to attract strong candidates who are interested in leading one of Norfolkās key advice charities.
"Last year our team of 38 staff and 180 volunteers at NCLS helped more than 4,500 people and Daveās departure means we are now looking for someone to lead our committed team.ā
If you are motivated by purpose and ready to lead with impact, we would love to hear from you. We are proud to be a supportive and positive employer, committed to staff wellbeing, development and creating an inclusive workplace where people can thrive.
Deadline for receipt of applications is 4pm on Monday, June 1.
