St Martins is a homelessness charity in Norwich and we offer a hand up - housing, support and care - to the most vulnerable in our community. We offer more than a home to the homeless. We support people to live independently, develop their skills and improve their lives.

The St Martins Norfolk Wildlife Calendar 2027 is now available on our online shop!

Local photographer Ian Lindsay kindly contributed pictures, many of which were taken in Train Wood, close to the river and Marriott's Way in Norwich.

I carried a watermelon! and carrots, potatoes, onions, beetroot, coffee, pasta, peanut butter, pot noodles, courgettes - the list goes on - thank you The Garden House for your regular weekly donations that we distribute and prepare into healthy meals - it makes a massive difference to the people we support. The food is great, and it's the community that gets built around sharing a meal together that makes a difference too.

We held the St Martins Summer Fun Day last week at our learning and development centre Under 1 Roof to welcome in the local community and showcase some of the work we do there. The action-packed schedule included bingo, karaoke and a quiz thanks to our in-house entertainer Paul, plus a tombola, raffle and refreshments.

Children enjoyed getting creative with stone painting and activity sheets, while the plant stall run by our gardening group proved particularly popular with visitors.
We were delighted to be joined by St Martins' patron, Michael Gurney, as well as many supporters, people who access our services and members of the local community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success✨

Earlham Crematorium donated £265 which were the proceeds of their community open day and Father's Day activities earlier in the year. The crematorium have displayed posters over the summer inviting people to donate items we need as well as cash donations. The community has been so generous and it has been lovely to make this new connection with the team there who are professional and empathetic.

Looking for something new?

We are currently recruiting for a part time Senior Shift Team Member at St Martins!

The main purpose of the job is to understand and work with adults who may have experienced trauma linked to homelessness, addiction, mental or physical health needs, family breakdown, criminal activity and other disadvantages.

The post holder will be part of a team providing person centred and trauma informed support to single homeless people living within homeless services accommodation.

You will be working across these four projects -
- The Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub
- Bishopbridge House
- Dibden Road Hostel
- St Martins House

A huge thank you to Eaton Golf Club, Norwich for hosting a golf day on our behalf a few weeks ago on what was the hottest day of the year!⛳

Eaton Golf Club has kindly chosen St Martins as their charity of the year, and ran their Captains Charity Day in aid of St Martins, along with a raffle & auction.
