44th Norwich Scouts - 1st Old Catton

Our Scout shooting team have had even more successes recently as they took part in Norfolk Scouts County Shooting Competition. And it's safe to say they smashed it again! 💪

They were up against the best of the best in Norfolk and still managed to bring home medals in every discipline! Special mention to achieving 1st place in the overall team score, as well as 1st, 2nd AND 3rd place in individual scores! 🏆

The team were fantastic representatives of both our Scout Group, as well as Northern Norwich District Scouts. We are all super proud of them!

Well done to everyone who took part, and thanks to all who helped them achieve this incredible triumph! 🙏

A few weeks ago, our Cubs & Scouts took part in the Northern Norwich District shooting competition, and absolutely smashed it! 💪

Our Scouts took home 1st place in all 6 disciplines, as well as a number of 2nd and 3rd places too - including 2nd place in the overall team scores (meaning the 44th were the top 2 teams)! 🏆

Our Cubs took home 1st place in Overall Team in Archery & Shooting, 1st place in seated shooting (following a shoot off between 2 of our Cubs!) & 2nd place in standing shooting. 🏅

Super proud leaders at the 44th, well done to everyone who took part, and thanks to all who helped them achieve this incredible triumph! 🙏

Awesome day out for the 44th yesterday, as almost 100 of us joined 1,800 other Scouting members at Banham Zoo for a day of fun and excitement! 🦁

Great to see so many smiling faces from young people and volunteers alike! 😁

A selection of our volunteers spent some time today putting our newly trained Tomahawk & Angel Throwing instructors through their paces, all in preparation for our Cubs and Scouts to have a go later this term! 🎯

Proud moment for the 44th this week!

We've awarded our first ever Chief Scout Acorn Awards to 2 of our Squirrels 🎉

This is a massive achievement for our Squirrel Scouts as it means they've achieved all 4 Challenge awards, along with a minimum of 2 other activity badges - no small feat for them!

Join us in congratulating them 🥳 and here's to many many more!

OUR SQUIRREL SCOUTS NEED YOU 🫵

Next term, our Squirrel Scouts (aged 4–6) are learning about where food comes from, and we’d love to make it really special for them. 🐿️

We’re hoping to surprise them with a visit from a local farmer who might be willing to come and chat to them about farming — and if possible bring a tractor along for them to see in our car park! 🚜

If you’re a farmer yourself, or know someone locally who might be happy to help us out for a short visit, please get in touch. It would make their day and really bring the topic to life. 👨‍🌾

(And if you’re a Squirrel parent… this is a surprise, so please keep it quiet! 🤫)

Thanks so much in advance! ⚜️

International Scout Meeting! ⚜️

During the summer holidays, 2 members of our Leopard Scout Troop had the great pleasure of meeting our friends from a group in Poland, with whom we have been working for 2 years now 🇬🇧🇵🇱

During this meeting, they shared many Scouting experiences and compared elements of our uniforms.

It's always incredible seeing how similar our Scouting lives are whilst also learning about all the differences and how we can learn from each other! 😁

✨ Międzynarodowe spotkanie harcerskie! ✨
