UEA Politics Society

Last night, former committee members of the UEA Politics Society made a post notifying members of their graduation and moving on from the society.

Alongside this post they attached a deeply offensive song, we have since taken this song off of the post from Facebook. Unfortunately, we have thus far been unable to get back into the Instagram account and so the song remains there. We will keep trying to get into the account and hope that Meta will take down the offensive content quickly.

We are very sorry for any offence or upset this has caused anyone who has viewed this post.

It was inspirational to hear from Adrian Ramsay MP this week.

The co-leader of the Green Party told us about his time at UEA, and his path into politics, culminating in leading the Green Party to their most successful ever electoral victory.

We discussed green policy, nuclear energy, Ukraine, and life before politics. Students asked challenging and difficult questions, and were given insightful answers.

Thank you for everyone who came along. A huge thank you to from everyone at UEA PolSoc and students at UEA!

In case you missed it, thanks to we were able to film the event. This should be up on our YouTube in the coming weeks.
