🌊⚓ Why do we volunteer at 11th Norwich Sea Scouts? ⚓🌊

It’s not for the pay (we checked… still a glorious £0 😄).
It’s not for the glamour (our uniform accessories include campfire smoke, river splashes, and the occasional mystery stain).
And it’s definitely not for the peace and quiet (if you’ve ever tried to bring “calm vibes” to a room full of excited Scouts… you’ll know 😂).

We do it for that moment —
when a young person at our hut has a go at something new,
steps onto a boat a bit unsure…
then comes back absolutely buzzing like they’ve just captained the Titanic (but with better decisions).

We do it for the shouts of encouragement on the river, the inside jokes on camp, the wet-weather victories, the proud badge moments, and the huge privilege of helping young people in Norwich find their confidence, courage, and voice.

You can’t put a price on that.
(But you can sew it onto a sleeve 😉)

🙌 We’re looking for volunteers to join the crew at 11th Norwich Sea Scouts.
Whether you can help weekly, once a month, occasionally, or behind-the-scenes — there’s a role for you.

🚤 No experience needed (we’ll show you the ropes — literally).
💙 Full support + training provided.
☕ Tea, teamwork, and plenty of “well, that escalated quickly” moments included.

As we head into 2026, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our young people, leaders, volunteers, parents, carers, and supporters for making this year such a brilliant one.

Wishing you and your families a happy, healthy, and adventurous New Year — we can’t wait to get back to it on the water and beyond! 🌊🛶✨
