Stroke Information Live is coming to Norfolk this September.

The Stroke Association is bringing together stroke survivors, carers, families and organisations supporting people affected by stroke for a free day of information, support and connection.

Taking place at Norfolk County Showground on Tuesday 22 September, the day will include practical advice about life after stroke, survivor stories, emotional wellbeing and recovery support, expert speakers and information about local services.

Help Shape Safeguarding Practice Across Norfolk

Norfolk Care Association, in partnership with Norfolk County Council, is inviting adult social care providers to join an online safeguarding feedback session on Monday 24 August, 11:00am–12:00pm.

This is an opportunity to share your experiences of safeguarding processes, discuss what's working well, highlight any challenges and help shape future improvements across Norfolk.

The session will be facilitated by Helen Thacker, Head of Service – Safeguarding, and Toby Thouless, Safeguarding Adults Team Manager, who are keen to hear directly from providers across the sector.

Whether you work in residential care, home care, supported living, day services or another adult social care setting, your feedback is welcome.

Hospital discharge works best when providers and NHS teams work together.

If you're involved in supporting people as they move from hospital into adult social care, this free Provider Engagement Event offers an opportunity to network, share experiences and explore ways to improve discharge pathways across Norfolk.

The event will bring together colleagues from across health and social care, including hospital discharge teams, virtual wards, community services, Skills for Care, ambulance services, dementia support, tissue viability, delegated healthcare and more.

Investing in leadership can be difficult when you're busy leading a service.

Skills for Care's RM12 Leadership Programme has been designed specifically for registered managers in adult social care, offering practical leadership development that fits around the realities of the role.

Over six months, participants will explore effective leadership strategies, learn from experienced facilitators and connect with fellow registered managers facing many of the same challenges.

The programme requires around six hours per month and is designed to provide practical tools and techniques that can be applied straight away.

The next cohort begins in October 2026 at County Hall, Norwich.
