Yesterday was the first of many lovely warm days this summer hopefully. Perfect for a gentle stroll on the heath and to look at wildlife and all the many flowers and grasses that support diverse insects and is the perfect 'no mow May' area in quiet action.

Yesterday Angela and I completed the May wildflower survey. It was a nice bright day so there every chance we would see what was in flower. Some pictures to follow and also a few from April.

Winter solstice celebrations 2019, well attended and good spirits all round.

What a wonderful day to have a walk on Mousehold. There's still lots to see and many birds to hear, squirrels racing about and everyone enjoying the sun. The water droplets hanging off the branches were just sparkling like diamonds.

Today the Defenders honoured the airmen who died on the Heath in WW2. We also laid flowers at the bandstand for Pat Siano who worked so hard for Mousehold throughout her life.
