Massive well done to the whole SYEP team! ❤️ This award is so deserved and a true reflection of all the hard work, passion and dedication that everyone puts in to help and support young people and the community.

Unfortunately due to the behaviour of a small number of individuals last week, we have made difficult decision to close Tuesday youth group this evening.

We are really sorry to those of you that attend each week and are well mannered and respectful to our staff, we appreciate you all and will be back next week.

SYEP RUN FEST 2026 COMPLETE 👟🏃‍♂️

Our first ever SYEP Run Fest took place yesterday and was a massive success 🙌

Well done to all of the amazing people that took part 👏 lots of money was raised for SYEP and a great day was had by all.

Big shout out to all of our volunteers and Gareth Thomson for organising the event and for absolutely smashing his marathon fundraising so far 🙌 we can't wait to follow you on the rest of your journey 😀

💚World Mental Health Day 2026 💚

This World Mental Health Day, let’s talk, listen and support better mental health — together.

The 10th of October marks World Mental Health Day, a chance to remind ourselves how important our mental health is and why creating supportive, understanding communities matters.

This year’s theme is “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.”

At Sprowston Youth Engagement Project, we believe every voice matters. Young people should have the space to talk openly, be listened to without judgement, and feel supported in their mental health and wellbeing.

Sometimes, simply asking “How are you really doing?” and taking the time to listen can make a real difference.

Let’s make sure lived experiences are heard — not just today, but every day.

Tomorrow (30/09) at the Community Social and Wellbeing Hub we will be joined by Broadland Yab.

Youth Advisory Boards (YABs) are led by local young people called young commissioners, aged 11-19 and up to 25 with SEND. YABs bring together young people, councils, political members and other professionals working with young people such as the police, health, education and the voluntary sector.

We have 7 YABs to ensure local issues are addressed in each area, based on the feedback from young people who live locally. We have YABs in Breckland, Broadland, Great Yarmouth, North Norfolk, Norwich, South Norfolk and West Norfolk.

If you want to find out more about YAB or how you could get involved, come along tomorrow from 10am to 1pm at the Community Social and Wellbeing Hub.

Located at the end of Church Lane, Sprowston. Right next to Sprowston Allotments.
