Norfolk & Norwich Group of Advanced Motorists The Norfolk and Norwich Group of Advanced Motorists. NR4 6XF apart from August, when there is a break for holidays and January when we hold the AGM.

In addition to helping motorists and motorcyclists pass their advanced test, the group holds a number of public and social functions. Our Speaker events takes place on the second Wednesday of every month at 19.30 at the The Pavilion, Recreation Ground, Oakfields Road, Cringleford, Norwich. It is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. These meetings are open to the public and we even supply tea, coffee and biscuits at the end! Our motorcyclist members (Fenriders) enjoy regular Sunday Morning RideOuts usually held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month starting at the Shell Petrol Station, Saddlebow, West Lynn, PE34 3LW at 9 am. NEXT WEEK SEES THE RETURN TO SCHOOL FOR MANY CHILDREN

💥16% of weekday crashes are recorded during typical morning (8–9 AM) and afternoon (3–4 PM) school run windows, based on Department for Transport (DfT) data.

💥Insurance data from Aviva shows that more than 1 in 4 collision claims happen between 2 PM and 4 PM, aligning with afternoon pickup

💥Wednesday and Thursday are the most common weekdays for morning school run collisions.

💥16% of parents dropping off children have witnessed a vehicle collision near a school.

💥84% of parents report encountering poor parking or a motoring incident on the school run.

💥Roughly 39% of parents feel rushed during the school run, and over 40% admit that time pressure negatively affects their driving

⛔️Whether children are in your car or walking to school, their safety comes first.⛔️

🚗 Slow down around schools and residential streets.

👀 Expect children to cross unexpectedly.

🅿️ Park considerately — don’t block pavements, crossings or sightlines.

💺 Make sure every child is properly restrained in the car.

A few extra seconds can make all the difference. Arrive safely, not hurriedly.

We were at the Thursford Gala Day with our display unit today. Thank you to Keith, Greg and Rory for manning the stand once again. On Wednesday 10th June we celebrated 60 years of NNAM. We were pleased to welcome members old and new to the party, including founding member Tim Cleland. Martin Woodhouse, our honorary President gave a brief history of NNAM before everyone tucked into a delicious buffet
